Victorian 9ct Rose Gold Bow | Brooch - Pendant

A super pretty Victorian bow brooch in rose gold with a lovely matching dog clip. The rose gold gives an added charm feature with a lustrous shine. The dog clip which was traditionally used to add a pocket watch is a really versatile feature. Today, this is usually turned upside down and added to a chunky chain which looks stunning or add a striking charm to the dog clip to really personalise it.

This item is fully hallmarked in 9ct, with markings of ‘WGM’, a fine jewellery maker from the Victorian age likely assayed in Chester or Birmingham in the late 1800s.

Dating from the late 19th to early 20th century, bow motifs were a popular romantic symbol in jewellery. Great worn with an added charm or as a modern necklace clip using the dog clip to attach.

The Details

Era: Victorian - 1900s

Material: 9ct Gold

Hallmarks: Made by renowned jewellery maker: WGM 1903- 1913, 9ct stamped to the back and dog-clip

Measurements: Approx 4g / 36mm x 28mm

Condition: Very good condition, there are some slight surface scratches commensurate with age. Dog clip opens and closes well, brooch pin also fully functioning with original features. Some very light rose colour loss to the centre of the bow ( please see photos), but this is really minimal. Overall very well preserved and a lovely piece.
