Victorian 9ct Gold Pinstripe Enamel Locket with Seed-Pearl Horseshoe

A very unique stripey enamel locket with a seed-pearl horseshoe motif. The locket is striped with blue enamel which really brings out the beautiful gold tone. With a layered horseshoe to the front finished with graduated pearls this is a very striking piece of jewellery and one of the best lockets I have seen.

To the back the locket is also enameled making this a versatile piece if you wanted to turn it around.

The rims are finely etched — giving a delicate, shimmering sparkle when they catch the light.

To the inside of the locket are two photo spacers - perfect for keeping your keepsakes. Looks amazing on a chunky or fine chain - I love it with a bolt ring — it gives a charming sailor look with the lovely display of colours. With a good weight and size this piece is sure to gain attention.

Condition: Excellent antique condition, opens and closes securely. Good colour and secure pearls. Some minor enamel loss as seen in photos. Inside of the locket is clean and ready to use.
