A fabulous and striking amethyst pendant necklace, dating from around 1860. This exquisite piece features a beautifully oval-cut amethyst, elegantly set within a delicate cornflower blue and white enamel border. The enamel is glossy and has minimal loss despite its age. The design is further enhanced by a charming palmette motif, complemented with intricate granulation and rope-twist detailing.

The pendant hangs from a unique belcher link chain, secured with a push clasp adorned with a smaller circular-cut amethyst.

The chain is stamped 9c. Measurements include a pendant length of 6.5 cm and a chain length of 45.0 cm, with a total weight of 29.8 grams.

Measurements: Pendant 6.5cm, chain 45.0cm, weight 29.8g

Condition: Very good condition. Antique item shows some wear commensurate with age. There is some enamel loss to the pendant (please see photos) but this is very minimal. A couple of minor dents to the balls on the pendant and to the back of the pendant. Overall the item is in very good condition considering it is over 160 years old.

Packaging: This item will be hand-tied with my branded ribbon, boxed with a thank you note personally addressed to you with some information about the item. This Item comes in a gift box for a perfect presentation.
