Edwardian Silver Paste Locket with Loose Garnets

A very fun Edwardian paste photo locket in silver. This stunning locket pendant is a double-sided piece, hand crafted in sterling silver with a 9ct gold rim to the glass. The front has a sparkling paste border and the back is plain. It can be worn either way, making this incredibly versatile.

The panel on the back of this shaker locket is easily opened and closed, with the hinge functioning well. One of the clear panels looks like it was replaced historically.

There is enough room to add photos, tiny gemstones or a lock of hair. Currently the locket is holding 5 loose garnet faceted gems - possibly from a sentimental piece of jewellery.

Looks really pretty on - the gold rim makes this versatile so that it can be worn with gold chains or silver chains. The bail is generously sized to fit many types of chains.

Condition: Excellent condition, all original features. Opens and closes well. All original stones, one stone has slightly discoloured but this adds to the Excellent condition, all original features.
