Antique 15ct Gold and Platinum Large Horseshoe Brooch

Sold Out

A fabulous lucky horseshoe brooch in 15ct gold with little platinum details. The shape has a soft, rounded feel, and there’s subtle engraving along the inside that gives it a lovely bit of depth. The tiny platinum “nails” add a cool contrast against the warm gold—just a hint of understated luxury.

Platinum grew increasingly popular during the late Victorian and Edwardian eras, often being delicately added as small, intricate details to gold pieces to create a striking contrast. This subtle combination enhanced the elegance and sophistication of the jewellery, making it highly sought after at the time.

Horseshoes have always been symbols of protection and good fortune, and they’re still super popular in jewellery today.

Generously sized, this brooch oozes sophistication and makes a bold statement. It's light in weight, minimizing pull on fabrics. You could turn this into a pendant, but honestly, I love the size of it pinned on a chic equestrian jacket.
